Of Indiana Twp., on Monday, February 5, 2018, passed away peacefully at the age of 92, Mrs. Costanzo was the beloved wife of the late Mario G. Costanzo; mother of Mario F. Costanzo (Brian Bonsteel), Frank L. Costanzo (Donna), and the late Jeanette M. Spicher; daughter of the late Frank and Carmela Pellegrino; sister of the late Mary Curley; grandmother of Diana, Phillip, Jonathan, Frank, Julie and Caleb; also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
With her husband, Virginia was one of the founding members of St. Josephs Catholic Church and sang in the choir for many years. Every Sunday found her making lasagna and other Italian specialties as she welcomed the priest into her home for family dinners.
As a gift to a growing family, she would send a small box of assorted homemade cookies to places as far away places as Italy, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Philippines. Nothing compares to opening a package of Nanas Christmas cookies which you knew were made with love and carried the blessing of countless rosaries she said until that person returned home safely.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Rte. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Parish, OHara Twp. on Friday at 10 AM.
