Sylvia May (Reese) Lazaro

November 8, 1937 — January 3, 2022

Sylvia May (Reese) Lazaro

Passed peacefully with her children by her side on January 3, 2022. Sylvia is now reunited with her loving husband of 65 years Robert Lazaro Sr., who preceded her in death on October 9, 2021. Also preceded in death by her parents; Edward Reese Sr., Philomena Farbacher Reese, her brother Edward Reese Jr., and sister; Jacqueline Reese Joy.

Sylvia is survived by her three children; Robert Lazaro Jr., Michael Lazaro Sr. (Tammy), and Kimberly Bozzo (Mark); her ten grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa), Michael K., Michael, Maggie, Mark (Maria), Maria (J.T.), Nicholas, Annie, Killian, and Tia; and her seven great-grandchildren, Maya, Milo, Macy, Collin, Colton, Payton, and Addilyn; and three sisters; Bertha Barbara Hale, Rita Schultz, and Phyllis Burns.

Sylvia was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, aunt, and friend! If you ever received anything from mom; it was handmade, and made with love. Her home was as warm as her heart; filled with the treasures of her talent. Her back porch is where all were welcome, and where stories were shared. She was a "techy" grandma who kept in touch with family and friends through social media; a "like" from Sylvia was kindred to a "hug" from Gram.

Sylvia was a woman of deep faith, and had a revered commitment to her religion, and her church.

After Sylvias retirement from Pittsburgh Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates; she selflessly devoted her time back to the church as a Eucharistic Minister, a CCD Educator, through Bible studies, and in any way that she was able to share her faith. In January of 2003; she was awarded the Distinguished Manifesting the Kingdom Award by the Diocese of Pittsburgh; for her charitable contributions to St. Bonaventure Church, Glenshaw, PA.

We find great comfort in knowing that you are at peace with our Creator; the Lord, Jesus Christ, and that you are holding Daddys hand once again

A very special acknowledgement, and a sincere " thanks" to all of the nurses at North Hills Passavant Hospital (6 Pavilion). If you can "be anything" ~ be kind to a nurse!

Services and Interment were Private. Arrangements made by PERMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Shaler Twp.
