Puedra Borio “Poe” McDonough Ferrario

Age 95, passed away peacefully, Wednesday September 13, 2023 in Joliet,  Illinois. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 12, 1928, the daughter of Daisy and Terenzio Borio. Poe attended South Hills High School, loved to dance, sing, swim and roller skate. She had her own business of breeding Pomeranians and Poodles. She and her husband Stanley owned a wallpaper store on Carson Street in Pittsburgh PA. They moved to Lakeland, Florida 1988 and she resided there until November 2022 when she moved to Crest Hill Illinois with her daughter, Joyce. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. Her joy was sharing the Bible 's promise of a wonderful future to people, especially the ones she loved. She was baptized as Jehovah's Witness in 1970. One thing you will always notice is her beautiful smile. She is survived by her daughters: Joyce Stephens, Diane Rood, and Arlene Smith (Kenneth); sister in-law Shirley Borio; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; step-children and grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Stanley McDonough and Al Ferrario, a brother Norge Borio, children, Michael and Stanley McDonough, Rhonda McDonough; grandchildren, and step- children.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 1 PM at United Cemetery, 226 Cemetery Ln, Pittsburgh PA 15237.
