Norbert Conrad Maranowski

Of Shaler Twp., on Thursday, September 18, 2014, Mr. Maranowski was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Jane Dorman Maranowski; father of Dr. Steven A. Maranowski (Michelle) of San Jose, CA, Dr. Kevin D. Maranowski (Diana) of Louisville, CO; son of the late Frank and Loretta Habrowski Maranowski; grandfather of Nicholas, Matthew, and Katherine Maranowski. Mr. Maranowski was a graduate of Duquesne University receiving dual BS degrees in chemistry and physics. He also received a MA degree in Industrial Management from the University of Pittsburgh. He retired from Gulf Oil Research as Manager of Facility Operations. In his earlier career with Gulf, he published a number of technical papers in trace metal analysis and was expert in developing new microchemical analytics for petroleum materials. He was a long time member and former President of Parish Council at St. Nicholas Church.

Celebrate Mr. Maranowski's life with his family on Friday from 5-8 PM at Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd at Rt. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Nicholas Church, Millvale on Saturday at 10 AM. The family respectfully suggests donations be made to the Nancy and Norbert Maranowski Endowed Scholarship Fund at Duquesne University, Office 405 Admin Building, 600 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15282.
