Kenneth R. Snake Howell

Age 84, of Weirton, WV passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. He was born May 17, 1936 in Holidays Cove WV to the late Kenneth E. and Anna Belle Bolen Howell. Ken is survived by his wife Mildred Sue Cowden Howell, whom he married on Sept. 22, 1973; son Scott; siblings Ted Howell (Jo Ann), Gala Buchanan (late Oakey), Dotty OBerg (late Jim); grandsons Seth and Shane Arnold; many nieces, nephews, and a host of bluegrass friends.

Ken attended Weir High School and graduated with honors from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He was owner of funeral homes in Weirton and New Cumberland, WV also as a funeral director in various locations for over 50 years. He was a funeral director at Perman Funeral Home in Pittsburgh for the past 29 years. He proudly served his country as Military Police in the US Army and was an avid bluegrass fan. He was a member of Weirton Heights Church of Christ and a member and past president of the Weirton Lions Club.

Visitation has been postponed due to illness of family members. The Visitation will be held on Sunday, JANUARY 10, 2021 from 3-5 PM at Weirton Heights Church of Christ at 3169 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, JANUARY 11, 2021 at 11 AM.
