James (Jim) Brady Stahura of O'Hara Twp., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away Sunday, August 4th, 2024 at 88 years of age. Jim was born January 15,1936 in Indiana, PA.
He graduated from Indiana High School. He went on to be a successful businessman, founding Stahura Company along with his brother Dick, which positively impacted the lives of thousands of plant workers across North America with a safer and cleaner environment. He succeeded in making his company a family atmosphere where individuals were valued. Jim was known as a generous businessman whose legacy spanned decades and formed relationships that lasted a lifetime.
He and his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Beaken Stahura married August 6,1966. Together they enriched the lives of their many nieces and nephews and their descendants. Whether friend or family, everyone always had a place at the table. Jim prepared fabulous meals while entertaining everyone with his colorful stories. All were seen and heard in their presence.
Jim found great pleasure in his many hobbies including cooking, skiing, tennis, classical music, extensive travel, and bird hunting with his dogs. He was a man of Faith who served his community and local parish, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, as a cantor and faithful member.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Jackson Stahura I and Mary Helen Stahura and his brothers Andrew Jackson Stahura II, Edward Joseph Stahura and his wife Patricia Anne Stahura. He is survived by his brother Richard Patrick Stahura of Basalt, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews. All who knew Jim could say that he demonstrated generosity of spirit. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Celebrate Mr. Stahura’s life with his family on Monday from 10-11 AM at Christ the King Parish, St. Joseph Church, Dorseyville with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM. Arrangements made by PERMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Shaler Twp. Inurnment will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana PA at a later date. The family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Pittsburgh, 191 Scharberry Lane, Mars, PA 16046.
