Doris Ann (Mechon-Bassett) Brown

Formerly of Lawrenceville and Stanton Heights, on Sunday, August 9, 2020, Doris was the beloved wife of Alfred W. Brown; mother of Daryl Brown (Jamie); daughter of the late Stephen Mechon, and Myrtle E. (Copeland) Bassett, and the late William Bassett; brother of Norma J. Bassett and Richard C. Bassett; grandmother of Daryl Brown (Aly), Angela Platos (Stephen) and Brandy Arndt (Michael); also 5 great-grandchildren.

Doris worked for the Pittsburgh Public Schools as a paraprofessional, spending over 30 years at Arsenal Middle School.

Celebrate Doris life with her family on Thursday from 2-7 PM at Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd., Shaler Twp. Services are private. Family respectfully suggest donations be made to Humane Animal Rescue, 6926 Hamilton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.
