Of Hampton Twp., age 78, beloved husband, father and Pappy, peacefully left this world to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, August 26, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born May 17, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA.
A graduate of St Vincents in Latrobe, he worked as an English and Latin teacher at Quaker Valley High School, he also worked at US Steel, and worked in computer technology at Westinghouse, Wheeling Jesuit University, and La Roche College. He served on numerous boards including the Apple business advisory council and as a technical representative to the United Nations in China.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn (Grzandziel), son Matthew and his wife Michele, grandchildren Nicholas, Ryan and Madelyn, and his daughter Christine and her husband Patrick Saber. He was preceded in death by his parents John, Caroline, and his brother Thomas. He is also survived by his brother Jack (Florine) and sisters Mary (Art), Sr. Anne,CDP, Agnes (Jere) and Sr. Carolyn CDP.
Celebrate Chucks life with his family on Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 PM 6-9 PM at Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Rte. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Glenshaw on Wednesday at 10 AM. As a lung cancer survivor who beat all odds, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 or the Sisters of Divine Providence, 9000 Old Babcock Blvd, Allison Park, PA 15101 to help them support their much needed work.
